Fixed gear are not better only different. There is a growing and vocal group that believes the simplicity of fixed gears allows for the rider to feel more connected to the road, and in our experience this is true. When you exert power or torque onto the pedal of a fixed gear, you get immediate acceleration response that is simply not felt in multi-gear coasting bike.
